Windows 98 Product Key Lost?

My Product Key number was lost and I wanted to reinstall Windows 98

I

was wondering if there was a way to look into the computer to find

the

serial number. I know that Windows 95 you would simply look in the

system

properties but that did not work. Is there serial number located

somewhere

else in the computer??

Install Everest Home free from http://www.lavalys.com/products.php?lang=en
click on operating system and it will display the serial number. It is in
the registry but I can't remember where. I think it is called productid
under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
