Dial-Up Networking Disconnect Issue
(too old to reply)

Using the Windows Dial-Up Networking (DUN) connection, the connection
no longer seems to execute the automatic disconnect after a period of
inactivity. Tried reestablishing a new connection name and have
ensured that the Advanced Connection checkbox option to disconnect
after some period of activity is selected - but the connection never
goes off.
Any thoughts on any other approaches to try?

Thanks,

You may have some application (or spyware) on your computer that
keeps calling home or checking for updates and such. Zone Alarm
is pretty good about detecting applications trying to connect to
sites on the net.
